Ahmed AlJuhany, Ph.D. Student
Ahmed's research interests lie in the intersection of philosophy of science, feminist epistemology and social epistemology. He is primarily interested in examining the social dimensions of scientific practice. Ananya Chattoraj, Ph.D. Candidate Ananya’s research interest are in scientific modeling, their uses, how they represent, and their relations to theories. Ananya wrote her M.A. thesis on the use of models in physics. Veronika Lavergne, Master's Student Veronika's philosophical interests are in how our descriptions and representations relate to the world. Her M.A. thesis is on relativism, constructivism, and progress in Nelson Goodman's work and Thomas Kuhn's account of scientific development. I am accepting new Ph.D. and M.A. supervisees at the University of Calgary. I am committed to diversity within my research group and especially welcome applications from racialized persons / persons of colour, women, Indigenous / Aboriginal People of North America, persons with disabilities, LGBTQ persons, and others who may contribute to the further diversification of our ideas.
